First of all I am going to start with, I am not a seamstress. Which is what makes this so cool. I heard about these 'pillowcase dresses' the other day when I was in the fabric department at Wal-mart looking for material to make a pillow. A lady there asked me if I was making a 'Pillowcase dress'. I of course didn't know what she was talking about so after a little explaining on her part I got curious and looked it up on the Internet when I got home. After seeing what it entailed I thought "Wow, I think I can do this." Thus the monster was created. I ended up making 5 dresses for Lauren in one day. I love them, not only because they are easy to make but because they are so simple looking and little girlish. They remind me of simpler times and I love that. Lauren loves the fact that I made dresses for her...that won't last long I am sure but it is exciting for a six year old...she thinks I am a genius! I of course love that....since I know that won't last long either.
I am hoping for a monogramming machine so I can monogram these dresses too. I am thinking of making some to sell. I need a hobby and I think I just found one!

What a cute idea! I might try this if I ever get time (maybe on my grandchilren....might have some time by then!).
